On the first night of Basileia Stacy, our new Vice President at RU, shared her testimony about being with InterVarsity: She joined the ministry as Sophomore because her Freshman year was quite full. But she made a decision to visit one of our Large Group meetings during the week. She loved it. Then we invited her to participate in our AIDS Awareness event. At a training we hosted to learn how to serve at the table, we handed Stacy a T-Shirt. Stacy put on her T-shirt and came to the event. She says that when she looked down the hallway and saw so many members of the fellowship all wearing their T-Shirt she realized she was part of something meaningful to the campus.
We thank God for Stacy's involvement and service to the ministry in Newark, NJ. It was a joy to see Stacy on stage thanking God for the friendships she's made in IV and her involvement. As she returned to her seat fellowship embraced her and shouted with joy in celebration!
