For the last 25 years the churches of the Downtown Newark area have been gathering in an interdenominational Good Friday Procession to reflect on the last seven sayings of Jesus as He hung on the cross. It was good to stop at each station and walk among the City of Newark as we heard affirmations of our faith through sayings like "Sunday's Coming" and "What makes Good Friday so good?"
A handful of IV-Newark students were able to participate in the walk and experience the City of Newark in a new way! As we walked along Broad Street, with a diverse group of Christian witnesses, we were able to see a city that is in great need of Christ's love and presence.
