Eight out of the 29 Resident Advisors at RU-Newark are InterVarsity students. So, what difference could that make? Students & Faculty Transformed:
None of these eight RA's are undercover Christians (one is camera shy)... they are being transformed to live out Scripture by Word & Deed! They have been seizing opportunities to develop relationships with the unchurched and non-believers. You can see the fruit of their work as you walk through the halls of campus and see they are stopped and greeted by so many residents and administrators. Last semester, in response to seeing so much spiritual brokenness in the dorms, these RA's gathered to pray and study Scripture together every other Sunday night. They are leaning on the Lord!
Campus Renewed
We're seeing amazing leadership, that is admired by Housing Administration, produced. InterVarsity students are modeling how to deal with conflict and how to show sacrificial love to their residents and their superiors. The caliber of their work, which they do 'unto the Lord', raises the bar of how an RA should do their jobs. We also have two students that work at the Housing office that serve with administration. The campus is a better place because of the diligent work of these students.
World Changers Developed:
These students are on campus now, but they will be in so many different industries very soon where they can continue their live out their faith. Can you imagine how great that will be?
